For those of you fans of JRPG games, of course you already know this legendary game. Great success with the first series, NieR: Automata, in fact, was flooded with negative responses from PC users. Now 4 years without news, NieR: Automata has finally officially got a new Fix for the Steam version.
A masterpiece made by Yoko Taro and Platinum Games, NieR does have quite different characteristics from other JRPG games. Having a story full of plot twists and touching, the NieR series has always been the choice of gamers in enjoying the excitement of playing JRPG games. Having just finished working on the newest Prequel series entitled NieR: Replicant Remake, now PC users don’t have to worry anymore about NieR Automata which is classified as Bad Port via the Steam platform.
NieR: Automata Finally Gets New Patch Fix For Steam
Hearing the complaints of PC Gamers, PlatinumGames finally officially confirmed this latest patch fix. Through one of the social media tweets Twitter hers, NieR: Automata is ready to deliver this smelly Patch right away. Even so, there is no certainty that this latest Patch will be the same as the Microsoft Xbox Pass version that was recently released or not. However, this mass protest effort apparently managed to get their attention on this 4 year old game.
Previously, NieR Automata in the last few days received quite a lot of negative reviews. It was noted, on March 22, 2021 or yesterday, there were 424 negative review. Not only that, in total, there are 1,156 negative reviews that NieR Automata received on Steam. The main reason is that the NieR Automata version, Game of the YoRHa Edition requires third-party modifications in order to get the Patch. This makes Steam gamers envious of the Microsoft Store.
Difference between Steam Port and Xbox Game Pass Results
Meanwhile, there is a Youtuber who managed to analyze this problem. Through the Digital Foundry Channel, there is a Video explaining the difference in Visual Performance on Xbox Game Pass. According to him Port of Xbox Game Pass is still not as perfect as we thought. It’s true, this port already has borderless mode support, HDR, and FidelityFx support for AMD cards. However, the ambient occlusion and bloom issues are still worse than the Ported version of Steam.
Although there are still a lot of things they need to fix, at least for now the Steam version of NieR: Automata will get the patch.
