Not satisfied with holding three Dota 2 tournaments, ONE Esports has again announced their fourth Dota tournament titled ONE Esports Indonesia Invitational.
This tournament will also be held in conjunction with the Jakarta Invitational in November 2020. So, why is this fourth tournament being held at the same time as the Jakarta Invitational?
Corona Is The Main Reason For ONE Esports To Merge The Two Tournaments
ONE Esports’ third tournament titled the Jakarta Invitational will be held together with the Indonesia Invitational. This decision was taken to respond to the Corona virus outbreak which is increasingly threatening.
Indeed, the Jakarta Invitational will be held in April 2020. However, the Corona virus that has entered Indonesia has forced the organizers to change the schedule of this tournament.
For this reason, they chose to hold the Jakarta Invitational in November 2020 along with the Indonesia Invitational. To date, there is no further information regarding ONE Esports’ fourth tournament.
ONE Esports Becomes Last Major Tournament
A few months ago, ONE Esports announced that it would be the organizer of the last Major tournament, the Singapore Major. This tournament was a life-and-death event for several participating teams.
The reason is, this is the last chance for each team to be able to get DPC Points so that they can appear at The International 2020. Last year, the EPICENTER Major was the last Major tournament but this year they chose to be the fourth Major.
This competition is also predicted to be exciting considering that several big teams currently have not received DPC Points such as OG and PSG.LGD. Even so, there is a possibility that the Singapore Major will be postponed due to the development of the Corona Virus.
