Sades Dragon Wolf Review: Mechanical TKL Keyboard

Sades releases Dragon Wolf, a TKL (Tenkeyless) keyboard equipped with Blue Switch Cherry MX, making the impression as fierce and sadistic as the name suggests.

Their latest keyboard product can be said to be premium because judging from the price, it is set at around 700 thousand. Even so, is Sades Dragon Wolf suitable for your gaming or daily drivers, gamers?

To find out, Gamedaim was given the opportunity by Sades Indonesia to review this Dragon Wolf product. And here’s the review.

Premium Price, Many Features

Sades Dragon Wolf Box With Background

Dragon Wolf is the most expensive TKL mechanical keyboard currently released by Sades. They have Sades Shield RGB which costs a bit less than Dragon Wolf.

There is a jargon that says, the price matches the quality and it’s true. This keyboard has quite a lot of features on offer in addition to its less sloping price tag.

First, Dragon Wolf use Blue Switch Cherry MX for their keyboard.

Sades stated that Dragon Wolf is one of the cheapest TKL keyboard types with Cherry MX in its class. One of the specifications of the Cherry MX is that it has a Life Span / Key Stroke of up to 50 million times.

Unfortunately, you can only buy Dragon Wolf with the Cherry MX Blue Switch option and no other color options such as Red, Brown and or Black switches. There are 87 buttons, all buttons in Dragon Wolf carry Anti-Ghosting.

Second, RGB remains inherent in today’s peripheral products, and Dragon Wolf has it too.

It’s just that, the RGB that is carried is only white and there are no other color choices.

Actually it can’t be called RGB either because this keyboard only has 1 color.

Sades labels it as the “Illusive White LED” because this keyboard emits a white light behind the keyboard keys.

However, there are 18 LED modes that can be adjusted however you like. Quite a number of modes are offered in addition to the drawbacks which only have white RGB.

To change the LED mode, you only need to press the FN + INS, FN + HOME, FN + PAGEUP, FN + DELETE, and FN + PAGE DOWN buttons. For the record, each combination has 4 LED modes.

Third, this feature is not actually from the keyboard itself, but Sades provides a bonus Sades Rainbow Keycaps in the Dragon Wolf purchase package.

The bonus keycaps themselves consist of 37 keys that are ready to color the dark black color of the Dragon Wolf keyboard.

Talk about bodies. Dragon Wolf has a compact body. It’s understandable because TKL looks small and cute. The color of the body itself is full black and there is a Sades logo at the top of the arrow keys.

For cables, this keyboard has a connector cable length of up to 175 CM whose USB is coated in gold.

Sadistic Dragon Wolf Keyboard, However..

Of course, mechanical is the type of keyboard that is widely used by gamers today. Moreover, the design is compact and small. Sades saw this by releasing the TKL-type Dragon Wolf.

In addition to the advantages and features, it is a pity that this rather premium priced keyboard does not provide a hand rest. The author hopes this keyboard is provided with a hand rest as an added bonus.

Even though as the author typed at the beginning, Dragon Wolf is the most expensive TKL keyboard and slightly above the price of the Sades Shield RGB.

Sades Shield RGB is also a mechanical TKL type keyboard that has a hand rest.

But it should be appreciated that Sades provides their Rainbow keycaps bonus. So for those of you who like to tinker and design keyboards, you don’t need to buy additional rainbow keycaps to make your keyboard beautiful.

Conclusion

For those of you who like a cute mechanical keyboard similar to Ducky One but at a cheaper price and already using a Switch from Cherry MX, Sades Dragon Wolf can be an alternative choice.

But if you prefer a TKL keyboard but still have a hand-rest, it is recommended to buy the Sades Shield RGB which is much cheaper but already has a hand-rest.

Even so, Sades Dragon Wolf can also be your keyboard of choice for gaming activities while beautifying your setup because Sades provides a Rainbow Keycap bonus with every purchase.
