ViewSonic Elite XG270 has just been announced for release in Indonesia around mid-March. As explained in the news, the Elite XG270 monitor is the world’s first Blur Buster monitor. So for that, this time gamedaim has agreed to review the ViewSonic Elite XG270
If I look at the price and features, this monitor is perfect for professional gamers. Or it could be for those who really dedicate themselves to the competitive realm.
However, there are features that can also support work such as content creation/editing due to technically qualified specifications.
Gamedaim got the opportunity from ViewSonic Indonesia to review the ViewSonic Elite XG270. Check out his review below.
Unboxing: ViewSonic is very understanding
A little introduction to the monitor box first.
The ViewSonic Elite XG270 box is made of hard material with the front showing the ViewSonic logo. While on the back there is an image of the monitor viewed from behind.
If we look at the top of the box there will be several icons for its features.
Then the contents of the box include: monitor, monitor stand, monitor hood, ac adapter, warranty card, manual, and several cables such as: Display Port 1.2 cable, USB type B cable, and 2x power cables (1x power type G/3 – pin mickey mouse plug and 1x power type C).
From this it can be seen that ViewSonic pays attention to the consumers of the destination country because it provides 2 types of power cables of type G and type C. For Indonesia itself, of course we use type C. While type G is usually for neighboring countries such as Singapore.
Thin Bezel with RGB Shades
The ViewSonic Elite XG270 measures 27” flat (not curved) with 3 borderless but thick sides on the bottom side.
At the bottom there are also 3 buttons to enter the OSD menu. The left button is for Quick Access, the middle button is the OSD joystick, and the right button is the power button.
Given that there is a monitor hood, we can attach a hood to the side so that we can focus on the monitor. But because the writer’s desk is already packed with various items, as a result, the author personally doesn’t use the monitor hood.
Regarding the weight, the monitor weight without a stand is 4.5 kg, while when using a stand it is around 7.5 kg.
The monitor stand is easy for writers to attach. First, match the base stand with the stand support, then turn the bolts at the bottom of the base stand and then tighten them. Then match the stand stand to the monitor mount until it ‘clicks’.
Slightly different from the monitors I’ve reviewed or used before, this monitor stand is a T-shaped made of metal.
There is a hole on the stand as well for cable management. Turns out ViewSonic doesn’t forget little things like this.
This monitor is very adjustable, such as height with a range of 12 cm, tilt -5° to 20°, pivot 90°, up to 45° swivel.
Enter the back of the monitor.
We can use this monitor with a VESA mount 100 x 100 mm.
Looking up at the top is the debossed ViewSonic logo branding. Meanwhile, another branding is ‘Elite’ with a brown line on the top stand.
Bungee Headset and Mouse Stand Replacement
Then there is a hook for headphones on the right and an anchor for the mouse.
Simply put, this anchor is like a replacement for a bungee mouse but the difference is in the built-in monitor. While the hook can be a place to put a headset / headphones like a headset stand.
With things like this, peripheral management becomes more efficient and easier. Personal author makes a plus for this monitor.
The connectivity or input port itself is located at the bottom. ViewSonic also provides a cover on that section to make the cable look neater.
Multiple Ports
For the ports there are: 2x HDMI, Display Port. Then next to it there is 3.5mm audio, USB type B, and 3x USB type A and a port for power.
With an audio jack up to 3x USB type A, we no longer need to plug in peripherals such as headphones to mice and keyboards to the PC case. Just plug it into the monitor with the condition that we plug the USB type B into the PC case as the connectivity path.

One of the selling points of this monitor is the RGB feature on the monitor.
ViewSonic Elite XG270 carries Elite RGB with 16.8 million colors found on 2 parts, namely the back of the monitor that forms a hexagon, and the bottom of the monitor with a total of 10 lights (5 left and 5 right).
To change the Elite RGB mode, you can go through the OSD menu or the Elite Display Controller software. In the OSD menu, there are modes such as Rainbow which changes its color, only one color mode, namely Breathing, and Stack mode with 1 color that flashes.
Apart from going through the OSD menu, we can re-adjust the RGB mode at will through the Elite Display Controller software. The software itself can be downloaded via the ViewSonic site.
This RGB feature can be very visible when the condition of the room is dark. If it is bright, you will see very little lighting.
Monitor with Speaker
Previously, the author reviewed the BenQ MOBIUZ EX2710 which also has a built-in speaker from the treVelo brand.
Well ViewSonic XG270 also has a built-in speaker but not from any label.
The sound produced is indeed less than expected because the bass is very, very minimal. Yes, it’s typical of the built-in speakers on the monitor. So it’s leaning towards the treble.
Even for playing games like CS: GO, I don’t recommend using speakers because the enemy’s step position still feels ambiguous. So it’s better to use a headset / headphones to be more immersive.
The speakers are more suitable for casual use such as listening to music, for example. And even then, don’t expect much for the bass quality from the speakers, which are lacking at all.
Display Monitor that is eSports Ready
After discussing the technical issues of the monitor, we go to the display of the monitor.
The ViewSonic Elite XG270 display monitor has Full HD resolution with support for 16.7 million colors, IPS panel, refresh rate up to 240Hz, 1ms response time, HDR10 support, 99% sRGB, and is already flicker-free, to support NVIDIA G-Sync.
Looking at the display specifications, this monitor is not only suitable for high-end competitive gaming but also for video editing or graphic design work because of the 99% sRGB color accuracy.
Also, if you want to get even more experience, ViewSonic has provided color presets for the monitor that we can change via the OSD menu.
Color presets such as Standard (default), FPS, MOBA, Battle Royale, Realistic, to Vibrant.
The author personally prefers to use the default or Standard preset because it seems more suitable for wide-scale use.
Likewise, when playing competitive games like CS:GO, the author prefers to set it to Standard.
Also, because this monitor is certified by Blur Busters, the PureXP feature on the monitor can improve the clarity of fast-moving images.
And indeed, when playing CS:GO, the motion blur is not very noticeable when the visual moves from right to left. Then to watch a movie.
The author tries to watch the series Dota: Dragon’s Blood via Netflix.
And as the author explained earlier display specifications, color accuracy is not too vibrant but also not too crisp. Impressed fit because it remains brightly colored. Also, because the viewing angle is wide, writers who are watching from under the table can still clearly see the monitor’s visuals.
Whether for gaming or entertainment such as watching movies/series, this monitor is suitable for this purpose.

ViewSonic Elite XG270 Review Conclusion
The conclusion for this monitor, of course, is that this monitor is perfect for professional gamers or those of you who are still pursuing your goals to reach the highest level in games, for example.
This can be seen from the specifications of the monitor display that already carries a refresh rate of up to 240Hz with a response time of only 1ms in GtG. Not to mention the color gamut is also fairly good at 99% sRGB. So for content creation is also not a problem.
Because it’s a gaming monitor too, ViewSonic features a built-in RGB LED on the monitor which is located on the bottom and back of the monitor’s body. At night, the LEDs can make your table feel more colorful.
Also, the monitor has many small details that I appreciate, such as a mouse anchor as a substitute for a bungee mouse, a headphone hook, and a hole in the stand as a cable entry point so that cable management is more organized.
Don’t forget, this monitor is highly adjustable because it can swivel, tilt, pivot, until the height can also be adjusted.
